Ana Niel, nace un seis de Junio de 1948. Egresada de la Escuela de Diseño y Artes Visuales, Prof. Juan Mantovani, fue surrealista por elección. Dijo de si misma, riéndose de los títulos: “…lo de artista plástica es porque soy inflamable”.
Quizás por eso, sus cuadros tenían el fuego de su impronta. El crítico Ricardo Ahumada, escribió de sus obras: “El universo creativo de Ana Niel tiene estrechas correspondencias con el expresionismo

UNA LINGÜÍSTICA DE LO HIPERREAL
Su lingüística de lo hiperreal, las exasperantes tensiones de la línea, la oscilación del blanco y negro en una descarnada indagación de la tragedia cotidiana que se universaliza a la manera de Rohlfs, Kischer,Heckel o Pechstein, suavizada por la amorosa sensualidad, tan exquisitamente femenina y vital -o las exuberancias cromáticas, en una gama de estridencias alucinatorias, sensibilizan los elementos conceptualmente plásticos, exponiéndolos a una lectura que es, al mismo tiempo, simbólica e icónica.”
MAESTRA NORMAL
Siendo Maestra Normal, Ana Niel, supo combinar su vocación docente trascendiendo el plano de la creación personal. Desde 1984, ella se propuso como orientadora vocacional y llevó adelante una labor docente a través de talleres de recreación para niños, en distintos barrios de nuestra ciudad. Con esos talleres organizó diversas exposiciones, que permitieron acercar a los espectadores “las formas y el color a través de ojos infantiles.”
DESDE 1973
Desde 1973, expuso sus obras en distintos salones artísticos. Algunos de sus cuadros pertenecen a pinacotecas privadas de Argentina, Brasil, España, Holanda y Estados Unidos.
Sus obras fueron expuestas de manera póstuma en el bar “La Tasca. Muchos de estos dibujos fueron realizados en ese lugar, y en el bar 1 1/2, sitios de encuentro con las musas que la inspiraban.
Fallece el 6 de junio de 2007.
Ana Niel was born on June 6, 1948. A graduate of the “Prof. Juan Mantovani” School of Design and Visual Arts, she was a surrealist by choice. Laughing at titles, she once said of herself: “…the ‘plastic artist’ label is because I am flammable.”
Perhaps that is why her paintings carried the fire of her imprint. Art critic Ricardo Ahumada wrote of her work: “Ana Niel’s creative universe bears close correspondences with Expressionism.
A LINGUISTICS OF THE HYPERREAL
Her linguistics of the hyperreal, the exasperating tensions of the line, the oscillation of black and white in a raw investigation of everyday tragedy universalized in the manner of Rohlfs, Kirchner, Heckel, or Pechstein—softened by loving sensuality, so exquisitely feminine and vital—or the chromatic exuberances, in a range of hallucinatory stridencies, sensitize conceptually plastic elements, opening them up to a reading that is simultaneously symbolic and iconic.”
CERTIFIED TEACHER (MAESTRA NORMAL)
As a certified teacher, Ana Niel successfully combined her educational vocation, transcending the realm of personal artistic creation. Beginning in 1984, she worked as a vocational counselor and led educational initiatives through recreational art workshops for children across various neighborhoods of our city. Through these workshops, she organized several exhibitions that brought viewers closer to “shapes and colors through children’s eyes.”
FROM 1973 ONWARD
From 1973 onward, she exhibited her artwork in various art salons. Several of her paintings belong to private art collections in Argentina, Brazil, Spain, the Netherlands, and the United States.
Her works were exhibited posthumously at the bar “La Tasca”. Many of these drawings were created there and at the “1 1/2” bar—meeting places where she connected with the muses that inspired her.
She passed away on June 6, 2007.
