GUARNASCHELLI RUBEN-BIOGRAFIA
Cursó estudios de piano, violoncello , armonía, contrapunto, análisis de la música y dirección coral, graduándose en esta especialidad en el Instituto Superior de Música de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, en la Ciudad de Santa Fé (República Argentina).
Fue creador del Cuarteto Vocal Santafesino y de la Agrupación Coral Beethoven en aquella ciudad, que dirigió de 1955 a1985. Participó de cursos de dirección coral en Argentina con los maestros Schultis y Graetzer, y con el profesor estadounidense Robert Shaw .
En 1984 participó del XI Seminario Internacional de dirección coral”Kodaly” en Hungría, dictado por el Prof. Peter Erdei. Integró las orquestas sinfónicas provinciales de Santa Fe y Entre Rios (Argentina) como violoncellista.
Fué titular de la catedra de direccion coral en el Liceo Municipal de Santa Fé (Argentina).
Fuè Director del Coro Polifonico Municipal de San Francisco (Pcia. De Córdoba, Argentina) de 1968 a 1997, con el cual preparó la Opera Cavalleria Rusticana representada en varias ciudades argentinas.
Con este coro realizó cuatro giras europeas y una por mexico desde su creacion en 1982 hasta 2002 dirigió el Grupo Coral del ” Centro Ciudad de Rafaela” , que hoy lleva su nombre,con el cual realizó una gira europea en 1993 que abarcó ciudades de Austria, Italia, Hungria,Francia, Inglaterra y Alemania.
El Honorable CONCEJO DELIBERANTE DE LA MUNICIPALIDAD DE LA CIUDAD DE SAN FRANCISCO (Argentina) le otorgó en 1997 la “Mención Especial” en mérito a su trayectoria artistica en beneficio de la ciudad y como reconocimiento del pueblo de esa ciudad a quien trabajó por su engrandecimiento cultural y designa con su nombre la sala de ensayos de coros de la citada ciudad.
Como director invitado dirigió un concierto con el Coro polifonico de la Provincia de Santa Fe (Argentina). Creó en Viena en Diciembre de 2003, el Coro Eurolatinoamericano, con el fin de difundir la música coral a capella latinoamericana.
Con sus coros dirigió conciertos en Argentina, junto a Ariel Ramirez y el cuarteto vocal Opus Cuatro. Con este cuarteto presentó en Viena junto al Coro Eurolatinoamericano, Navidad Nuestra de Ariel Ramírez.
Con el Coro Eurolatinoamericano de Viena realizó una gira por Argentina y Uruguay en 2007, siendo invitado por la UNL de Santa Fe (Argentina) para participar del Festival Coral en 2009.

He studied piano, cello, harmony, counterpoint, music analysis, and choral conducting, graduating in this specialty from the Superior Institute of Music of the National University of Litoral, in the City of Santa Fe (Argentine Republic).
He was the creator of the Santafesino Vocal Quartet and the Beethoven Choral Group in that city, which he directed from 1955 to 1985. He participated in choral conducting courses in Argentina with maestros Schultis and Graetzer, and with American professor Robert Shaw.
In 1984, he participated in the XI International “Kodaly” Choral Conducting Seminar in Hungary, taught by Prof. Peter Erdei. He was a cellist in the provincial symphony orchestras of Santa Fe and Entre Ríos (Argentina).
He held the chair of choral conducting at the Municipal Lyceum of Santa Fe (Argentina).
He was Director of the Municipal Polyphonic Choir of San Francisco (Province of Córdoba, Argentina) from 1968 to 1997, with which he prepared the Opera Cavalleria Rusticana, performed in several Argentine cities.
With this choir, he undertook four European tours and one to Mexico. From its creation in 1982 until 2002, he directed the Coral Group of the “Centro Ciudad de Rafaela,” which today bears his name, with which he carried out a European tour in 1993 covering cities in Austria, Italy, Hungary, France, England, and Germany.
The Honorable Deliberative Council of the Municipality of the City of San Francisco (Argentina) granted him the “Special Mention” in 1997 for his artistic career benefiting the city and as a recognition from the people of that city to someone who worked for its cultural enrichment, and named the choir rehearsal room of the said city after him.
As a guest conductor, he directed a concert with the Polyphonic Choir of the Province of Santa Fe (Argentina). In December 2003, he created the Euro-Latin American Choir in Vienna, with the aim of disseminating Latin American a cappella choral music.
With his choirs, he conducted concerts in Argentina, alongside Ariel Ramírez and the vocal quartet Opus Cuatro. With this quartet, he presented Ariel Ramírez’s Navidad Nuestra in Vienna, together with the Euro-Latin American Choir.
With the Euro-Latin American Choir of Vienna, he toured Argentina and Uruguay in 2007, being invited by the UNL of Santa Fe (Argentina) to participate in the Choral Festival in 2009.
IF TODAY A CHOIR SINGS IN SPANISH IN VIENNA AND THE ARGENTINE REPERTOIRE IS SPREAD THOUSANDS OF KILOMETERS AWAY, IT IS THANKS TO THE WORK OF THIS MUSICIAN AND MASTER BUILDER FROM SANTA FE WHO SACRIFICED HIMSELF FOR HIS TERRITORY AND HOMELAND.
