ALVAREZ JORGE BIOGRAFIA
Es el padre/ fundador de la TV santafesina en los últimos 40 años. Investigador, antropólogo, viajero, recorrió con su cámara los recónditos rincones del país, mostrando por primera vez lugares desconocidos para la gente, costumbres y modos.
Documentalista experto, visitó Camboya, Vietnam, la selva venezolana, reservas aborígenes de distintas partes del planeta y contribuyó a la difusión del patrimonio cultural santafesino y mundial.
Fue el primero que logró registros para la televisión del corredor Carlos Alberto Reutemann en el exterior, pero también logrando notas y encuentros con ex mandatarios en el exterior. Infinidad de documentales, programas, visitas a reservas indígenas del amazonas, forman parte de su extenso CV.
Periodista, fotógrafo y productor santafesino, conductor de “La Tierra y su Gente“, uno de los programas televisivos-documentales de mayor trayectoria de la historia argentina. Además, formó parte del equipo de producción del programa radial “Asado Monumental“, que se emite actualmente en Sol Play, todos los domingos de 10 a 13.
A lo largo de su trayectoria, el programa llegó a cultivar más de 60 galardones y premios.
Durante la década de los 80, el santafesino fue uno de los creadores del personaje de Tincho Carpincho, quien apareció por primera vez como parte del programa “La Tierra y su Gente“; posteriormente esto llevó a la creación del programa infantil “Las Aventuras de Tincho Carpincho“. Asimismo trabajó en el noticiero de Canal 13.

He is the father/founder of Santa Fe television over the last 40 years. A researcher, anthropologist, and traveler, he explored the remote corners of the country with his camera, showcasing previously unknown places, customs, and ways of life to the public for the first time.
An expert documentarian, he visited Cambodia, Vietnam, the Venezuelan jungle, aboriginal reserves in different parts of the planet, and contributed to the dissemination of Santa Fe’s and the world’s cultural heritage.
He was the first to achieve television footage of racer Carlos Alberto Reutemann abroad, also securing interviews and meetings with former leaders overseas. Countless documentaries, programs, and visits to indigenous reserves in the Amazon are part of his extensive CV.
A journalist, photographer, and producer from Santa Fe, he was the host of “La Tierra y su Gente” (The Land and its People), one of the longest-running television documentary programs in Argentine history. He also was part of the production team for the radio program “Asado Monumental,” currently broadcast on Sol Play every Sunday from 10 AM to 1 PM.
Throughout its run, the program garnered over 60 awards and accolades.
During the 1980s, the Santa Fe native was one of the creators of the character Tincho Carpincho, who first appeared as part of the program “La Tierra y su Gente”; this later led to the creation of the children’s program “Las Aventuras de Tincho Carpincho” (The Adventures of Tincho Carpincho). He also worked on the news team at Canal 13.
