AUSQUI NESTOR.BIOGRAFIA
Santafesino por adopción desde su temprana adolescencia, es Nacido en la localidad de Remigio González Moreno, en el límite con la Pampa, un 17 de junio de 1943. Luego de terminar sus estudios en el Instituto Superior de Música de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina, en 1973, se radica por espacio de 5 años, (1974-1979) en Porto Alegre, Brasil, llevando a cabo una vasta labor tanto en el campo de la docencia como en el concierto, actuando en las más importantes salas de Porto Alegre y en innumerables ciudades del Estado de Rio Grande Do Sul, auspiciado por el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura de Rio Grande Do Sul.
ETAPA MONTIVEDEANA
Luego se radica en Montevideo, Uruguay, (1979-1984) para continuar sus estudios con los maestros Abel Carlevaro, Guido Santórsola, Hèctor Tosar y Eduardo Fernández. En 1984, regresa definitivamente a Santa Fe. Argentina y en 1985 gana por concurso la Cátedra de Guitarra hasta el 2013, año en que se retira de la docencia universitaria. Ese mismo año (1985) forma “La Agrupación Camarística Guido Santorsola conformada por 20 guitarristas y abarcando un amplio repertorio clásico-popular.
GIRAS Y MAS GIRAS
Con enorme éxito realizan giras por Argentina, Chile, actuando en 1987 en la Assambleia Legislativa de Porto Alegre. Después de tres años de intensa labor con la Agrupación, la misma se disuelve por razones económicas. A partir de ese momento retoma su actividad como solista y con su nueva formación el “Santa Fe Guitar Quartet” , realizando 11 giras por 35 Estados de USA y diversos países de Latinoamérica.
CONCIERTOS Y VIAJES
Su vasta trayectoria en el campo del concierto y la docencia la realiza en Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brasil, Paraguay, EE.UU, Canadà, Holanda, España, Italia y Francia. Ha actuado en el Carnegie Hall de New York, Lincoln Center de New York, Universidad de NewYork, Mayerson Symphony Center, Dallas, Texas;, Kennedy Center (Washington DC) Smithsonian History Building, Washington D.C. Ofrecido master clases en la UCLA (California) y diversas universidades de EEUU.
En Oregon, Texas, Kansas, Arizona, New Mexico, Ciudad Juarez (Mexico) Maine, Michigan. En el Auditorium de la Universidad de Montreal, Canadá, estrena junto al gran Maestro uruguayo, Abel Carlevaro, sus Estampas Concertantes para guitarra solista y cuarteto de guitarras, dedicadas a Néstor Ausqui. Ha grabado cinco Cds. Para Klavier Record International de California, Innovative String (El Paso, Texas); MariCam Studio, (Santa Fe. New Mexico).
SOLISTA Y CUARTETOS
En el 2000, se retira del “Santa Fe Guitar Quartet”, continuando con su carrera de solista y en el 2004, junto a la talentosa guitarrista paraguaya, Berta Rojas, Magdalena Duhagon de Montevideo y Marcelo Cornut de Santa Fe, forma el Cuarteto del Sur, realizando conciertos con gran éxito en Argentina, Paraguay y Uruguay, culminando esta gira en el Kennedy Center de Washington DC, con el estreno mundial de su arreglo para cuatro guitarras del “Concierto de Aranjuez”, siendo hasta momento la única versión en el mundo, para este tipo de formación camarística.
ARREGLOS Y ESTILOS
DORIAN International. Inc de NW, realiza la única grabación en Cd, que existe de este arreglo. Producto de su trabajo de investigación sobre la guitarra, la UNL (Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina), publica su primer Volumen Didàctico destinado a alumnos y profesionales, se trata de un compendio de items sobre la problemàtica que encierra la actitud postural en la relación cuerpo-guitarra, ofreciendo respuestas clara sobre el tema de las tendinitis y distonías focales, al que están expuestos los guitarristas, producto de un mal relacionamiento entre el cuerpo y la guitarra..
U.S.A. GRABA SUS ARREGLOS
En 2016 Mel Bay Publication, Inc. De Misourri , USA, editó su arreglo de la 5th. French Suite para guitarra sola de J. S. Bach BWV 816. En lo que será la primera publicación en el mundo de esta monumental obra. En 2018, Mey Bay publicará su arreglo para guitarra sola de la Imponente Fantasía Cromática y Fuga en Re menor BWV 903.
En 2024, Mel Bay publica su 6to. Album: “My Favorite Guitar Encores”
Desde 2009, realiza giras por Europa como guitarrista solista y al frente de “Néstor Ausqui Grupo”. En 2019 volverá a Holanda, España e Italia para conciertos y master class con el “Néstor Ausqui Guitar Quartet”. En julio de 2018 realiza conciertos en Montevideo y Carmelo (Uruguay) y en octubre de 2018 volverá a Porto Alegre con Néstor Guitar Quartet” para participar en el 3r Festival Internacional Porto Alegre de la Guitarra, con arreglos propios del 6to. AUSQUI_NESTOR_BIOGRAPHY
A Santa Fe native by adoption since his early adolescence, Néstor Ausqui was born in the town of Remigio González Moreno, on the border with La Pampa, on June 17, 1943. After completing his studies at the Superior Institute of Music of the National University of Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina, in 1973, he resided for 5 years (1974-1979) in Porto Alegre, Brazil, carrying out extensive work in both teaching and concert performance. He performed in the most important halls of Porto Alegre and in countless cities in the State of Rio Grande Do Sul, sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Rio Grande Do Sul.
MONTEVIDEAN PERIOD
He then settled in Montevideo, Uruguay (1979-1984) to continue his studies with maestros Abel Carlevaro, Guido Santórsola, Héctor Tosar, and Eduardo Fernández. In 1984, he returned permanently to Santa Fe, Argentina, and in 1985, he won by competitive examination the Chair of Guitar, holding it until 2013, the year he retired from university teaching. That same year (1985), he formed “La Agrupación Camarística Guido Santorsola” (The Guido Santorsola Chamber Ensemble), comprised of 20 guitarists and covering a wide classical-popular repertoire.
TOURS AND MORE TOURS
With enormous success, they toured Argentina and Chile, performing in 1987 at the Legislative Assembly of Porto Alegre. After three years of intense work with the Ensemble, it dissolved for economic reasons. From that moment, he resumed his activity as a soloist and with his new formation, the “Santa Fe Guitar Quartet,” undertaking 11 tours through 35 states of the USA and various Latin American countries.

His vast career in the field of concert performance and teaching has taken him to Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, Paraguay, USA, Canada, Holland, Spain, Italy, and France. He has offered masterclasses at UCLA (California) and various US universities.

SOLOIST AND QUARTETS
In 2000, he retired from the “Santa Fe Guitar Quartet,” continuing his solo career. In 2004, together with the talented Paraguayan guitarist Berta Rojas, Magdalena Duhagon from Montevideo, and Marcelo Cornut from Santa Fe, he formed the Cuarteto del Sur (Southern Quartet), performing highly successful concerts in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, culminating this tour at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. with the world premiere of his arrangement for four guitars of “Concierto de Aranjuez,” being to date the only version in the world for this type of chamber formation.
ARRANGEMENTS AND STYLES
DORIAN International Inc. of NW made the only existing CD recording of this arrangement. As a result of his research work on the guitar, the UNL (National University of Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina) published his first Didactic Volume aimed at students and professionals. It is a compendium of items on the problems inherent in postural attitude in the body-guitar relationship, offering clear answers on the subject of tendinitis and focal dystonias, to which guitarists are exposed due to a poor relationship between the body and the guitar.
USA RECORDS HIS ARRANGEMENTS
In 2016, Mel Bay Publication, Inc. of Missouri, USA, published his arrangement of J. S. Bach’s 5th French Suite for solo guitar, BWV 816, which will be the first publication in the world of this monumental work. In 2018, Mel Bay will publish his arrangement for solo guitar of the imposing Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue in D minor, BWV 903.
In 2024, Mel Bay publishes his 6th Album: “My Favorite Guitar Encores.”
Since 2009, he has toured Europe as a solo guitarist and at the head of “Néstor Ausqui Grupo.” In 2019, he will return to Holland, Spain, and Italy for concerts and masterclasses with the “Néstor Ausqui Guitar Quartet.” In July 2018, he performed concerts in Montevideo and Carmelo (Uruguay), and in October 2018, he will return to Porto Alegre with “Néstor Guitar Quartet” to participate in the 3rd Porto Alegre International Guitar Festival, with his own arrangements of J. S. Bach’s 6th Brandenburg Concerto, BWV 1051. Also included are seven movements from Manuel De Falla’s “El Amor Brujo” (arr. Marcelo Cornut) and Astor Piazzolla’s “Las Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas” (arr. N. Ausqui).
