Miguel Angel Morelli nacio el 18 de mayo de 1945 en la ciudad de Vera, Santa Fe.
Su infancia natal transcurre en Santa Felicia donde desarrolla una gran conexión con la naturaleza y la música.
Alla por la década de los años 1970, se destaca en festivales regionales como el “Festival Paso del Salado” y el “Festival del Litoral Argentino”.
1976- COSQUIN
Por 1976, obtiene el primer premio en las categorías de autor e intérprete en el Festival Nacional del Folklore de Cosquín. Logro que apunta y consolida su valía en la escena musical nacional.
Su producción es envidiable: Morelli compuso cerca de 100 obras, muchas de las cuales fueron interpretadas por artistas como Mercedes Sosa, Los Tucu Tucu y Antonio Tarragó Ros.
NACIMIENTO
Nacido en Vera, pero no en un hospital ni clínica. Se dio en la cama matrimonial de su abuela materna. Por esos avatares de la vida, tuvo la familia que mudarse a Santa Felicia.
Cuando sus padres regresan a Santa Fe, reside un año en Vera haciendo el cuarto grado hasta su finalización, para volver a Santa fe.
UNA HORA DE ENERGIA
En Vera – localidad del norte santafesino- (gentilicio Verenese) no tenían más que una hora de energía por día.
Una radio a batería, las ganas de escuchar y la imaginación hicieron el resto. Las ondas hertzianas traían las modulaciones de Radio Goya de Corrientes con mucho chamamé. Isaco Abitbol, Transito Cocomarola, Ernesto Montiel, Tarragó Ros Padre, Mario Millán Medina, Cuarteto Santa Ana eran los referentes de la época.
Todo ese marco referencial le fue dando la esencia espiritual para compone “Lo que sos mi chamamé”
Su influencia en el folklore argentino está registra y provoca fuertes conexiones, habiendo llevado la música santafesina a escenarios como Chile y Paraguay.
Miguel Ángel Morelli falleció el domingo 29 de diciembre de 2024 a los 79 años en la ciudad de Santa Fe. “Orgullo santafesino”, “Lo que sos mi Chamamé”, “Chamarra de Sauce Viejo” y “El Moncholito Ramón”, son obras que nos representarán por siempre.

Miguel Angel Morelli was born on May 18, 1945, in the city of Vera, Santa Fe.
His early childhood was spent in Santa Felicia, where he developed a deep connection with nature and music.
